Back from the mountains

or how to feel free for a while...

Yesterday I finally got home after a long weekend in the mountains located in the southern part of Galicia. Last week, a friend of mine rented an old house near a place called montederramo and we set up our base camp there.

The house was old, but comfortable, and it was located in a very nice place, by a little river and surrounded by only fields and trees (no more houses in some kilometers around).

First day at the old house we have a river by the house

We arrived there on Saturday and, after leave all the stuff in the house, we had lunch (tortilla and empanada) and we went to a ski station located nearby (cabeza de manzaneda) just to play with the snow, do some snow ball battles and things like that.

When we got completely wet and frozen, we came back to the house, just to have dinner and play some games (pictionary, scattergories, tute and, of course, wiisports and dancing stage: mario mix)

On the second day, we woke up early just to get on the cars and go to some nice places in ourense (most of them old monasteries and churches).

It was a rainy day, so we got wet and frozen again. Back home we have lunch and we kept ourselves at home for the whole afternoon (because it was raining too much to be outside).

Yesterday, we woke up early again, as my girlfriend and me had to come back to Lugo, and it was a 160Km/2 hour trip. We got really surprised when we woke up and noticed that it was snowing all night long, and the fields around the house were covered completely by a snow blanket. I felt myself like when I was a child, the same sensation when woking up on chirstmas day and everything was white around my grandparents house.

Everything was frozen Even my car was frozen!

Now, back to reality, but I would like to stay there for some more time.
